Media type evaporative cooling systems, when designed properly, are the best solution for users. That’s why the planning must be designed carefully and a series of variables must be assesed at the same time. SKY Enerji actualizes the most appropriate solutions for gas turbines and site operation conditions in its applications with its long term experience.

INSTALLATION & FEATURES

The existing construction of the gas turbine filter house, the arrangement of the air intake filters, the static structure of the filter house, operating conditions, meteorological data, gas turbine specifications, characteristics of the cooling water, maximum evaporation, and minimum pressure loss constitute the main design criteria.

The placement of the cooling system can be in front of, between, or behind the air intake filters, depending on the filter house structure and operating conditions. In our retrofit system installations, construction plans that allow for optimal integration between the filter house and cooling modules are implemented.

The integration of the cooling system into the filter house is designed to remain true to the originality of the filter house, and the support structure used is manufactured from appropriately profiled steel material, taking into account optimal structural statics. Long-term protection against corrosive effects is ensured through hot-dip galvanizing or epoxy paint methods.

All main and auxiliary equipment in the cooling system is made from top-quality, safe, and long-lasting products. The cooling modules and auxiliary equipment are made of stainless steel and have protective properties against outdoor conditions.

The cooling media, based on cellulose or glass wool with a special geometric design, enables maximum evaporation due to its large surface area. The special surface coating provides highly effective protection against extreme environmental conditions and microbial formations.

In our installations, the conditions of the external environment and post-cooling are continuously monitored through the control unit, allowing for fully automatic control based on parameters such as temperature, humidity, conductivity, pressure, flow rate, water level, etc. Optionally, real-time data transfer to the control room and system data tracking via internet connection are also features of the cooling system.

The cooling system is structured to be easily integrated into the existing walkways of the filter house. To ensure the safest and easiest access to system equipment, platforms, walkways, railings, and stairs are provided, ensuring fully secure operation.
