WORKING PRINCIPLE
Dehutech dehumidifiers are equipped with supreme desiccant rotor technology holding water molecules in air through adsorbtion principle. A developed surface geometry designed for silicagel based rotor to adsorb maximum amount of water molecules is available.
Inlet/process air directed by process fan leaves all water molecules during its pass over rotor and it comes off as dry air from the other side of the rotor. The rotor must be regenerated for the saturated silicagel to receive humidity again.
Therefore, heated air is blown into rotor from the same/opposite direction through reactivation fan.The hot air quickly evaporates the water molecules over rotor surface therefore the regeneration process is carried out. The rotor revolving around itself at a low speed with the support of a drive motor keeps the process going. Momentarily, the process air passes through the 75% of the rotor area and reactivation air through 25% of the rotor area.
At the end of the process, hot and humid reactivation exit air is exhausted from the unit and the dry air is directed to where it is needed.
In case of specific applications with very low dewpoint values, Dehutech AB provides the most cost effective and high performance systems for its customers through its pre/post cooler-heater systems and PLC controlled units.
In DT 6000 and upper models, through the purge sector application on rotor, the energy formed on the rotor surface is used in the pre-heating of the process air. Therefore, the energy consumed for reactivation is reduced and the dry air at the device exit is kept at a lower entalphy. This reduces the capacity required for cooling in processes where cooling batteries are mounted to dry air exit and therefore it provides extra advantages for the users.
